KIX plays back musical memories with classic American Top 40 shows hosted by Casey Kasem.
Saturday you get two chances to hear the big songs this week 1985! Madonna shows her soft side with “Crazy For You” and ”Rhythm of the Night” is a winner for DeBarge. A couple of Eagles are flying high with solo hits: Don Henley’s “All She Wants to Do is Dance” and Glenn Frey “Smuggler’s Blues”. All contenders for the top spot, but can they replace “We Are The World” at #1 for three weeks. It’s Back to the 80s, every Saturday from 6 am to 10 am, with an encore presentation 8 pm to midnight on KIX!
The Seventies Rule on KIX Sunday morning with an American Top 40 from this week 1973. Your 8-track and record player were burnin’ up with new songs by Dobie Gray (Drift Away) and Stealers Wheel (Stuck In The Middle). Glam rockers The Sweet are in the Top Five with “Little Willy”. Carol Burnett’s co-star Vicki Lawrence scores with her lurid “The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia”, but Tony Orlando and Dawn top them all with “Tie A Yellow Ribbon”!
The countdown, Casey’s stories, and the Long Distance dedications every Sunday from 9 am to noon, only on KIX!
