Woody Durham, the voice of UNC football and men’s basketball for over 40 years, died today at the age of 76.
Durham was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia in 2015 and died due to complications from the neurocognitive disorder. Over the years prior to and since his diagnosis, the disease greatly hindered his ability to speak.
Durham called more than 1,800 football and men’s basketball games on the Tar Heels Sports Network.
