This free summer concert series also includes food trucks and craft beer. This Friday’s artist, Valerie June, is a standout of the series, getting lots of attention with her unique mix of Americana, electric blues, old-time folk and gospel yearning.

Family Movie Night in Wake Forest

The crowd-pleasing movie, The Lion King, will be shown around 8:30 p.m. Before the movie, the Museum of Natural History will be there with a “Meet the Animals” program, and Carolina Tiger Rescue will be there too. Hopefully with tigers.
